𝟭. 𝗚𝗲𝘁 𝗮 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘂𝘀 (𝗛𝗼𝗼𝗸): Get a simple catchy chorus, one that is easy to remember. The catchphrase could be a street slang, a name, a drink, a common object etc.
Example of hit songs that have used catchphrases includes: 'Buga','Monalisa', 'Playboy', 'Kolomental', 'Common Person' etc.

You never know which one will be a hit.
Be consistent!
𝟯. 𝗕𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗱-𝗶𝗻 𝗽𝗶𝗱𝗴𝗶𝗻 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵/𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗴𝗲: Many musicians try to blend-in local dialect in their lyrics or sing completely in a local language e.g Olamide, Phyno, Sarkodie etc.
Your fans will easily relate to it and those who don’t understand it are fascinated by it.
𝟰. 𝗕𝗲 𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗼𝘂𝘀: Once you find that you have an idea for a new song begin working on it immediately, whether by freestyling or jumping on the mic.
Write down ideas instantly on a notepad or record it in your phone. Freestyling is good when you are working on a track, most especially when you already have the beat at hand.
Your incessant freestyle and ideas can be put together and worked on.
𝟱. 𝗚𝗲𝘁 𝗮 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗲𝗿: A producer makes the beats for your songs and polishes it. He/she can also help you in writing a song or making some adjustments or even gives you ideas to help with the process in case you feel stuck or out of ideas.
A smart music producer knows what's best for your song (Concept/Creativity); be it adding harmonies, sound effects etc.
𝟲. 𝗚𝗲𝘁 𝗮 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗴: Dance has enabled music to cut across borders because dance is a universal language understood by all.
